Become a Substitute Teacher in Denver

What you need to sub in Denver

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not always required.
• A Colorado substitute authorization for public school positions. The 1-Year authorization needs a high school diploma, a fingerprint background check, and experience working with children — see Colorado substitute teacher requirements.
• Early childhood roles don't need a teaching license or degree — you complete a Colorado background check, the free PDIS trainings, and CPR/First Aid instead — see Colorado early childhood requirements.
