Substitute Teacher Requirements

Thankfully, Colorado has a more flexible approach compared to some other states when it comes to substitute teaching. In contrast to the strict requirement of a professional teacher license, the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) provides three distinct substitute teacher authorizations, each with its own set of educational and experience prerequisites.
